Long ago, before the age of Anthro and Kide, two great and powerful masks were created.

 

   The first of these, was the Devil Mask. Created as a weapon to shatter the heavens, representing Destruction and the Past.

   The second, was the Seraph Mask. Created as a countermeasure to the Devil Mask, representing Creation and the Future.

 

   It is said that in order to truly control the immeasurable power of these masks, one must possess a will not unlike the masks themselves, and be willing to submit themselves to the whims of fate, whatever they may be.

 

   With these masks in hand, a great war was waged.

 

   It lasted many long years, and countless lives were lost. Until...

   

   In the final battle, two champions stood opposite each other, each wielding one of these great masks's power.

   It is said that in the end, both perished, along with the rest of the ancient world.

   The masks, torn to pieces by the severity of combat.

 

   The Seraph and Devil Masks have since lived through the ages, drifting in and out of legend.

 

   However...

 

   Thousands of years after its destruction, the Devil Mask returned.

 

   It found its way into the hands of an unfortunate hero, who was tragically consumed by its power.

   Only after a fierce battle was the hero at long last subdued, but not before destroying two once great cities in the process.

   He has since been sealed away, along with the wicked mask, never to be heard from again.

 

   The Seraph Mask, meanwhile, still sleeps. Scattered in pieces across the world.
