   Background: Serena is the daughter of Ivan Maladus. She was nearly killed when the family's home was burned down, and as a result, needed constant medical treatment to stay alive. Many years later, however, Ivan happened across a man by the name of Leopold Atmos, who told Ivan that he was setting in motion what he called, "Project Kigen". Hearing this, Ivan agreed to help Leopold any way he could, and after finally reaching a certain level of success, Ivan offered up Serena herself as a subject. The procedure was successful, not only in its intended purpose, but the enhancements also stabilized her condition. However, the treatments were severe, and coupled with her near-death experience, Serena was badly scarred both mentally and physically.

 

  Speech Style: Serena is very timid by nature, so her voice is quiet and soft. She's not very outspoken and has a lot of difficulty speaking in group conversations, if at all. It takes a bit of coaxing to get her to speak in singular conversations as well, and often keeps her thoughts to herself - keeping her opinions and such in a journal instead.

 

  Mental/Emotional: Serena was once a more cheerful child, but after the numerous horrors she was forced to endure, became a much more reserved individual with a rather soft-spoken demeanor. However, she does care about others, and hopes to someday open a medical clinic with which she can utilize her skills to help people. (As Serena is actually quite capable in medical science.) She is a gentle and kind soul, cursed with a devastating power that was given to her by a sadistic scientist that her own father willingly entrusted her life to. With this in mind, Serena has also come to fear her own father as well, which understandably gave her serious trust issues.
