Work continues on, slowly but surely.

As far as the site is concerned, I have seen to completing the character biography updates, so feel free to examine those at your leisure. Meanwhile, writing continues to be my priority, with periods of labor being followed by appropriate breaks whenever necessary.

 

Hopefully, I can have something of more substance by next week. My deepest apologies for these horrid delays...

Hello and welcome back, fair patrons!

 

The time has come! A new year, and with it, new possibilities!

Work and laziness have kept me from updating as frequently as I usually do, and I apologize for that.

 

Plot writing has been productive yet tiresome, and I'm otherwise planning out a sort of reconstruction of the site in the absence of any game-related material - essentially, something to keep things moving over here in the meantime. Keep your eyes peeled for any changes I make. (I may just leave a few secrets lying around.)

 

For what it's worth though, I updated the heck out of the character biographies. (Not all of them just yet, but the heroes and villains are all finished. I'll be doing the rest and assorted touch-ups over the next week.)

Hello and welcome back, fair patrons!

 

At last, I am finished with Semester-related affairs and have once again returned to Tempus as my primary focus. However, Christmas and its various workings have taken dominance for the time being, appropriately enough.

 

Granted, once this week is through, I will at last be completely free to return to my domain. (That being here.) From there, I shall continue work on the aforementioned writing of the plot, and hopefully have a little something to show off here with a little luck. Patience is all I can and unfortunately often will ask of you, ladies and gents. I will make my return as soon as I can.

Hello and welcome back, fair patrons!

 

First and foremost, I want to apologize for the lack of updates, both substantial and otherwise.

I've been without my sytem for about a week, and a rather irritating amount of Semester's-end work has kept me regrettably preoccupied.

 

In any case, I've been working to the best of my ability regardless, and have been using the opportunity to give Tempus a little bit of a "structural re-write", as it were. Essentially, this will serve to ground previously-established points and otherwise make the story more tightly-knit, as I personally felt many newly-established details left the plot in a state reminiscent of a patchwork. Thus, I felt a bit of restructuring was in order.

 

With this in mind, however, I still must give my college work priority; but rest assured, I am still working tirelessly. I can only hope my abscence hasn't dulled attendance or overall interest in tempus too much...

Hello and welcome back, fair patrons!

 

Work continues in a rather steady fashion as usual, and I continue with the hope of rectifying my rather awful mistake that was the last demo; but unfortunately, only so much work can be accomplished so quickly.

 

In any case, a major focus this week was continuing to build up events regarding side quests in the Arcadian area, and will most likely continue to be as such until the entirety of the area is complete. (With breaks every once in a while consisteing of switching to Marr to avoid burning myself out.)

 

Regrettably, no new screenshots this time around as well. (Or rather, I do have things to show off, but it would be more of the same events I've been working on; and you guys don't want me to spoil everything, do you?)

Hello and welcome back, fair patrons!

Pretty nice and solid productivity this week, I must say.

 

First, we have the construction of several sections of Marr now underway, with the cities of Serenade, Aria, and Nocturne coming up foremost in the lineup, with most likely Requiem being next on the list.

 

Second, there is the first of what I would call the official Tempus concept arts! First up, Isaac Lumin himself, fittingly enough.

Feel free to check it out in the "Sketches" tab, if you're interested.

 

As usual, I also have some new screenshots to show off in the 'ol slideshow as well.

First of all, apologies for the lacking of a prompt update, I've been on a sort of belated summer vacation over the past 4 or 5 days, so work has been rather unfortunately reduced to a minimum. (That isn't to say I didn't do anything at all, but nothing "update worthy", unfortunately.)

 

However, I am currently preparing to leave as I type this, and will promptly return to work as soon as I can. (Maybe even get some things done on the ride home as well, with any luck.)

Welcome back, fair patrons!

I hope you lot had a fine week, because I know I did.

While not much has been completed of physical merit, there has been plenty accomplished in the arena of the nitty gritty. Namely, the updating of sprites. (This pertaining to characters, equipment, etc.)

 

Anyway, I shall continue to chug along at this pace with the continued hopes that I'll have the second main demo ready to go sometime within the next couple of months.

Sunday Sunday Sunday!

Work on Arcadia continues, but I've also begun going back to re-tweak some battle mechanics. Each character now has a completely structured and unique style, making each of them capable of their own special techniques and abilities!

 

"So what? That's standard stuff." I hear you saying. Well! Take into account the advent of the Emblem System, as well as what that will mean for character customization. Each character has their own unique style which can be further tweaked one way or another in order to essentially create the well-oiled machine of a team anyone would want!

 

You think Isaac's Speed could use some bolstering? Check.

You want Kyra's Attack to be a bit more significant? Check.

You need Varel's Energy Attacks to be stronger? Yup, check.

 

On top of this, the assigned Emblem will also grant special abilities to their wearer!

 

That's the idea, anyway.

Granted, I believe I've touched upon the Emblems before, but with the structuring of each character's style complete, the construction of said Emblems becomes that much more significant.

 

I've also been mapping and such, and thus have a few more screenshots ready to go in the 'ol slideshow. Enjoy them at your leisure. (-^-^-)

Apologies for no update last Sunday. The semester had been starting up again, so I was rather busy making preperations.

 

Regardless, I have been continuing Tempus-related work to the best of my ability, so no worries.

 

It has also come to my attention that Tempus' development has finally hit its first anniversary! Yes indeed, it has officially been one year since this site first went public! In light of this, I want to take the opportunity to thank all of you that have stuck with me this far. It means so much to me to know that Tempus has come even this far, and I owe every ounce of it to the lot of you.

In light of the recent work I've been moving through, this week has been largely a break for me.

 

It's been nice, and I've finally had the opportunity to play Bloodborne as a result. Plus, it will also go a long way in refreshing me for Chapter 2's construction. (Which I will probably begin this following week. Nothing heavy, however, considering I still have to flesh out the Chapter 1 area.)

 

Anyway, I shall be back on the clock tomorrow, with a brand new video by next Sunday!

Hello, all!

Welcome back to the return of Sunday: The Reckoning

 

As with my established modus operandi, the newest installment of the "Let's Develop" series will be fully operational sometime tomorrow, but I also have some screenshots as per the usual.

 

In other good news, this may very well be the last installment featuring the plot centering around Chapter 1, which means that I will now be taking some time to construct the entirety of the Arcadian area which will in turn lead to the release of the second demo. (Which will have a lot more substance to it than the first.)

Long week... all leading up to a brand new Sunday!

You guys enjoying what I've put out so far? Because I have good news: new video next Sunday!

 

Not enough, you say? Well, how about the fact that I'm almost done with the entirety of Chapter 1! To give an idea of my plans, this will most likely lead into a fourth video, which will in turn eventually lead to the next major demo's release! (I will also take some time after completing the story aspects to put together some optional areas to explore, as well as going around and fine-tuning everything that's already there.)

 

Not enough, you say? Well... actually that's all I can share for now.

Happy Father's Day!

If you haven't already, do somethin' nice for the guy. (Unless you have a perfectly good reason not to, in which case, nevermind.)

 

So! To buisness.

After a good deal of debate, I'm wondering if I should just drop the videos altogether and upload the next section as another demo. Besides, I ended up making a lot of adjustments anyway, and I figure it's better to delay something and release a good product than to just release something terrible as-is.

 

However, I didn't want to leave you good people with nothing, so I took the liberty to put up some new screenshots on the 'ol slideshow.

 

In the event I can't get enough material together for a full demo, I will release a video instead as a proper update. Either way, something will be uploaded next weekend.

Sunday once again, and quite the hallmark of productivity this week has been! Work has progressed smoothly on the development of Chapter 1, and as promised, it is largely completed. (More or less up to my old point of development, specifically. For those that don't remember, this was after Isaac and Varel had completed to Speculum Tower and had begun travelling to Silverice.)

 

I don't want to make too optimistic a prediction, but I may very well be able to put up a new "Let's Develop" video by next Sunday! 

 

Also, members of our production team have also considered holding podcasts to address more nitpicky and specific information regarding the world of Tempus. It's still fairly early in the works, but that is a possibility for the future.

 

Personally, I await with fingers crossed. (But then again, I'm helping set the whole thing up, so perhaps not really waiting so much as hoping.)

First and foremost, we have a bright, shiny new teaser image for "Project Origin" (Formerly Project ZX Alpha). I'm not the best at graphic art, but I enjoy it for what it became. (-^-^-)

 

That aside, work continues as scheduled. Perhaps I can finally restart my "Let's Develop" series sometime soon! (I've actually had some people ask about those in the past, so rejoice those that were fans of those videos.)

Sunday! And my first without the United States educational system breathing down my neck!

 

And with the beginning of Summer comes the boom in production I'm sure many of you have been waiting for. On top of the main development, I'm also officially starting a secret project I've dubbed "Project Tempus ZX Alpha".

 

I won't reveal anything on the nature of the project at this point in time, but I will say that it is something I've wanted to do for a while now. So, look forward to it!

 

You may have also noticed that shiny new "Gallery" tab up top. Since I'm now adding my own hand-drawn art into the mix, I thought it would make sense to give all of the accumulated art its own tab. (The images are also in this new grid format, too!)

 

On top of that, I've also added a new screenshot to the slideshow on the Home Page.

What have I been up to, you may ask?

Eh, school mostly. The Semester's ending, so I've had to put some development time on hold for this week, but I do have a special treat for you all in the meantime!

 

It's art! My concept art!

I wanted to start sharing some personal and unique things from the development process without giving too much away, and good 'ol concept art seemed the best way to do it.

with writing! See, I realized that Tempus was missing some

much-needed flesh of the detail variety, so I spent

this lovely past week doing just that.

 

So, nothing physically shiny this week to show off, but I promise the

shiny is there in spirit!

Hoo boy, a lot went on this week.

 

I was seriously swamped with work. Finally got some

composers on board as a personal accomplishment, and

had the glorious honor of someone officially doing a "Let's PLay"

of the demo presented a while back. (Which by the way, you can

view here if you're interested.)

 

Lastly, for you all, I present the Damenshi Productions Forums!

I tried to cover all the bases I could think of with the available boards,

but I can easily add more as necessary.

 

This way, memebers of the currently existing community can 

freely share ideas or converse with myself and the members of the team about the project.

Do I even need to say it? Sunday is here again.

So, what was this week's energy put into, you may ask?

Mapping!

 

I spent that last several days dedicating my time to re-constructing

some of my maps with the new tile set. This was also a rather convenient

opportunity to re-evaluate my mapping technique. So, with this in mind,

I've taken the liberty to stick some screenshots of the updated city of

Sallows into the slideshow to the left of this announcement column for

your perusal.

 

With a bit more time, I should have reconstructed most of the main areas from that time when I was doing the video series, "Let's Develop: Tempus". Maybe I'll start doing those again when I'm all caught up, eh?

Hello once again, fair patrons!

So, what is there to say?

 

This past week was mainly spent on fixing demo-related

issues and taking steps toward updating the site a bit.

Make it look a bit less "rinky dink", you know?

 

I'll probably continue to do that on and off for a while

onward, but it has also been brought to my attention that some

original art may be beneficial toward gaining support. 

(And overall making things feel more "real", production-wise.)

 

Might not be my main focus, but that's another

sub-goal to keep myself nice and busy.

I've been putting together a sort of mockup demo

for a potential supporter of Tempus, and if thing go a certain way,

perhaps I'll add it to the site.

 

The good news? It might be a composer!

Something that would go miles for adding some personality

and individuality to the universe. I'm excited!

This has been a pretty hectic week for me, allowing little time for

anything extensive.

It is once again the day of suns, and things continue to

move steadily ever onward toward the future.

 

I've been making some significant changes to Tempus as of late,

as I usually do, but this involves changing the current tileset; as

well as perfecting the subtle art of weapon, armor, and enemy stats.

 

I may also be taking this next week to finish the "Support" page updates,

so I can get that out of the way. Maybe then we can start Cycle 3.
