   Background: In her early years, Jean had lived in Ferost with her father, a moderate-income alchemist who had chosen to move to the region to study the local flora and fauna. One day, they noticed a great deal of smoke coming from the nearby forest, and decided to investigate. At its source, they found the village of Darkwood burnt to the ground. After searching through the charred remains for a time, Jean happened upon a small Svetan child that had apparently survived the incident. That child was ultimately adopted by Jean and her father, and the three have lived together ever since. That is, until her father was kidnapped under mysterious circumstances, prompting the two to begin a journey of their own.

 

  Speech Style: Jean is fairly calm in her demeanor, but can also be quick to anger under certain circumstances.

 

  Mental/Emotional: Jean is for all intents and purposes Lizzy's sister, and as such, cares deeply for her well-being and does everything in her power to keep Lizzy's spirits up, despite their unfortunate circumstance. She is also quick to adopt a defensive nature and can be easily angered or upset, but is often kept in check by her sister. Underneath it all, Jean is still a loving, if not slightly overprotective, sister.
